Course Pre-requisites and Requirements
    • Certificate III level qualification or work related experience equal to a certificate III in the relevant fields as listed below:
      • Certificate III level language, literacy & numeracy
      • Business
      • Hospitality
      • Music Tourism Entertainment Museums & libraries
      • Sport & recreation
    • Have paid or voluntary employment experience at an operational, coordination or management level in an events-related field
* In the event where prerequisites are not met, participants might have other options available to them.

Software Requirements (PC & MAC USERS)
      • PC Web browser: Firefox 3.0, or higher, Google Chrome 2.0 or higher, Internet Explorer 7 or higher
      • MAC Web browser: Firefox 3.0 or higher, Google Chrome 2.0 or higher, Safari 3.0 or higher
      • Microsoft Office 2007 or later, for PC or MAC
      • Access to Email or Webmail on your PC or MAC
      • Adobe Flash Player: Current version available at www.adobe.com/flash
      • Adobe Acrobat Reader: Current version available at www.adobe.com/acrobat
      • QuickTime Player: Current version available at www.apple.com/itunes
      • Skype: Current version available at www.skype.com
      • A basic audio recording tool: This software application will allow you to record yourself playing along with a background track and save the recording in MP3 format. You will have a tool to use for this purpose inside the learning environment. Alternatively, you can use software like Audacity or Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
Hardware & System Requirements ( PC USERS )
      • Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
      • Intel Pentium or higher
      • 512 MB RAM
      • 100 MB hard drive space recommended
      • Sound card
      • 256 color monitor / 800x600 pixels resolution or better
      • A printer is recommended: This will allow you can print out music examples used in the course
      • Speakers or headphones for your computer
      • A built-in microphone or an external microphone: Plugged directly into your computer (via built in ports or an external audio interface).

Internet Access Requirements
    • Broadband high speed internet access to your computer, is preferred, for a satisfactory user experience within MWT Institutes’ online training website facility.

This includes; a ‘Moodle’ Learning Management System and a sophisticated multimedia virtual class room, with live and ‘on-demand’ streaming video, VOIP audio, instant messaging and interactive learning content.
